What this directory is

Malaysia SEO Agency Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource. We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to a relevant provider and may receive a referral fee. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings.

The directory lists 187 SEO agencies across Malaysia. It is for business owners, marketing managers and founders who need to shortlist an agency, compare options side by side, and see what recent customers are saying before they make contact.

Who publishes it

The directory is published by Meridian Guides, which has run independent city directories for everyday services across Malaysia since 2025. Every Meridian site ranks businesses with a published scoring method built on public customer reviews. Rankings are not for sale.

Editorial oversight sits with Janice, Editor, who maintains the rankings. If you want to question a placement or flag a mistake, Janice is the person to reach.

How listings get here

We pull public business data: name, address, contact details, category and opening hours. We then synthesise recent Google reviews into a short summary of what customers tend to praise or complain about. We do not republish review text. Each listing links out to Google so you can read the original reviews yourself.

How rankings are decided

Rankings are earned from a published rubric and data only. Nothing else goes in. The full scoring method is written up on the methodology page, so you can see what counts and check a result against it.

How sponsorship works

Some providers pay for extra visibility. When they do, the placement is labelled “Sponsored” and shown separately from the earned list. Sponsorship never changes a score, a sentiment summary or an earned ranking. If a listing is sponsored, you will see the label before you see anything else about it.

What listed businesses can and cannot change

A business can correct its own facts, such as a wrong phone number, a moved office or updated hours. It can never edit its own score, sentiment or ranking. Those come from the rubric and the public data, not from the business.

How often it is updated

Data is refreshed monthly. Each listing carries a “last verified” stamp, so you can see when it was last checked and whether it is being actively maintained.
